Overview
A 42 inch soft-sided collapsible crate for extra large dogs, with four doors, mesh windows for airflow, and a metal frame that folds flat for storage or travel. The maximum weight recommendation is 50 lbs, and it closes with zippers.
Soft-sided crates like this trade the durability of wire or plastic crates for portability, folding down for travel or storage when not needed. With four doors it offers more access points than a typical single-entry travel crate, useful for car setups or tight spaces.
- 42 inch size fits extra large dogs
- Four zippered doors for access
- Mesh windows for ventilation
- Folds flat for travel or storage
Who it's for
Fits owners who need a crate mainly for travel, vet visits or temporary confinement rather than a permanent chewing-proof enclosure. Not suited to dogs that chew or scratch at zippers and mesh, or dogs over the 50 lb guideline.
Pros and cons
- Four doors for flexible access
- Folds flat for storage or travel
- Mesh windows support airflow
- Sized for extra large dogs up to 50 lbs
- Soft mesh and zippers are not chew-resistant
- 50 lb weight limit rules out larger breeds
Performance notes
The metal frame gives the crate its shape while folding flat when collapsed, and the four zippered doors with mesh panels prioritize ventilation and access over the containment strength of a hard-sided crate. At 42 inches long with a 50 lb weight guideline, it's sized for extra large dogs rather than rated for a heavier or more powerful breed.
