Overview
Despite being filed under dog crates, the Paw Ballet CWWL-FX03 is a foldable nylon playpen with a retractable shade cover, not a rigid crate. The medium size measures 32 by 24 by 21.5 inches and folds down with a carrying bag for indoor or outdoor use.
The listing's own category placement is misleading here: the product description, materials and included parts (zipper closure, folding support rods, carrying bag) all point to a soft sided pop up playpen rather than a wire or plastic crate. It's built for small pets generally, listing dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and chickens as target species.
- Foldable nylon playpen
- Retractable shade cover
- Medium size 32 x 24 x 21.5 inches
- Includes carrying bag and 8 support rods
Who it's for
Fits owners who want a portable, foldable enclosure for a small pet indoors or outdoors, such as at a park or on a patio. It is not a substitute for a secure travel crate or a permanent indoor kennel, since it is soft sided and requires assembly.
Pros and cons
- Retractable shade cover for outdoor use
- Folds into a carrying bag for portability
- Zipper closure and waterproof nylon shell
- Soft sided, not a rigid containment solution
- Requires assembly with support rods each use
- Medium size may be tight for larger small breeds
Performance notes
The pen assembles from 8 folding support rods and zips shut, with a retractable shade cover for outdoor use and a nylon shell described as waterproof. At 2.98 pounds it is light enough to carry in the included bag, though assembly is required each time you set it up.
