Overview
Not a bare camera that needs extras, this AKASO bundle ships with a waterproof case, two batteries, a memory card, a wrist remote and bike and helmet mounts. It records ultra HD video and high-resolution photos.
Everything needed to start filming rides and swims in one box is the reason to buy it. The waterproofing relies on the case, and the remote is not waterproof.
Who it's for
Suited to beginners filming commutes, trails and pool or beach days. Creators who need higher frame rates or pro stabilization should look at a higher-end camera.
Pros and cons
- Card, batteries and mounts included
- Front screen for selfies
- Deep waterproof case
- Wi-Fi app and HDMI out
- Waterproof only in the case
- Remote is not waterproof
- Top resolution limited to 30fps
Performance notes
Electronic stabilization crops and shifts the frame to smooth bumps, so narrower view angles stabilize better. Battery life drops at higher resolutions, which is why two batteries are included.
