Overview
A built-in ballistic calculator inside the Bushnell rangefinder turns each laser reading into elevation and windage holds for your rifle profile. You load that profile once through the phone app over Bluetooth, then range in the field without the phone.
On-board shooting solutions are why a rifle hunter would choose it, since you range and read the hold in one look. With a phone connected it adds live local weather to the math. Water resistance covers rain, not a dunking.
Who it's for
Hunters who shoot at longer ranges with a known rifle load and want the hold shown as they range, plus archers who switch to bow mode. A golfer or casual user wanting only distance will find the ballistic setup unneeded.
Pros and cons
- Ballistic holds shown in the display
- Phone free once profile is synced
- Live weather when phone connected
- Angle compensation for bow hunting
- Profile setup requires the app
- Only splash resistant
- Field of view not listed
Performance notes
Accuracy of the hold depends on the ballistic profile you enter, so a correct load and zero matter more than the laser. Angle compensation corrects steep uphill or downhill shots to true distance. The larger objective lens gathers more light at dawn and dusk.
