Overview
The AOFAR HX-700N is a laser rangefinder for bow and rifle hunting, measuring 5 to 700 yards with 6x magnification and switchable range or speed modes.
- 5 to 700 yard range with 6x magnification
- Range and speed measurement modes
- Waterproof and dustproof housing
- Includes battery, pouch, and lanyard
Who it's for
Suits hunters who want a compact, budget rangefinder for daylight range-finding on bow or rifle hunts. Less suited to dawn or dusk hunters, since the non-illuminated display is hard to read in low light, and less convenient for anyone who wears glasses.
Pros and cons
- Compact and lightweight at 180g
- Two modes cover both range and speed measurement
- Ships with battery, case, and lanyard
- No illuminated display, hard to read at dusk or dawn
- Short eye relief makes it awkward to use while wearing glasses
- Cold temperatures reported to cause battery issues
Performance notes
The unit ranges from 5 to 700 yards with claimed plus or minus 1 yard accuracy and 6x magnification. Cold weather has also been reported to cause battery flicker and occasional failure to power on.
