Overview
The Sunny SF-RW5639SMART is a compact rowing machine with 360 degree full-motion arms, 12 resistance levels, a digital monitor, and SunnyFit app connectivity, rated for users up to 400 lbs.
The full-motion arm design is meant to mimic the arc of real rowing rather than the fixed straight pull of simpler machines, engaging legs, back, core, and arms through a wider range of motion. It's built compact rather than as a full-length rowing rig, which trades some stroke length for a smaller footprint.
- 360 degree full-motion rowing arms
- 400 lb weight capacity in a compact frame
- 12 levels of adjustable resistance
- SunnyFit app connection for guided workouts
Who it's for
Suited to buyers wanting a low-impact, full-body cardio machine that fits in a smaller space than a traditional rower. Not the choice for rowers training for competitive stroke length or distance, given the compact frame.
Pros and cons
- Wide-arc arm motion targets more muscle groups
- Compact frame saves floor space
- 12 resistance levels for gradual progression
- Compact design shortens stroke versus full-length rowers
Performance notes
The 360 degree arm motion lets the handles move through a wider arc than fixed-track rowers, aiming to recruit the back, core, and arms more like rowing on water. Twelve resistance levels let intensity scale up gradually, and the digital monitor tracks stroke rate, time, count, and calories while the SunnyFit app adds guided rowing simulations.
