Overview
Waterdrop makes this activated coconut carbon block cartridge as a stand-in for the LG and Kenmore part numbers in its title. It targets chlorine, bad taste and odor in drinking water.
A multi-pack covers several filter changes in a row, and the carbon block media is aimed at chlorine, taste and odor. Fit depends entirely on the refrigerator model, so match yours to the compatibility list before ordering.
Who it's for
Households with a listed LG refrigerator get a stock of filters to cover several changes. Owners of other brands, or LG models not named in the list, should not order on the strength of a similar look.
Pros and cons
- Pack of four filters
- Certified to NSF/ANSI standards
- Coconut carbon block media
- Lead-free food-grade materials
- Replacement interval not listed
- Fits listed models only
- Contaminants described only broadly
Performance notes
Water flows through the coconut carbon block, which traps chlorine and the compounds behind bad taste and odor. A cartridge that has reached the end of its life loses effect, so replacement timing matters. The listing gives no flow rate or capacity figure.
