Overview
Brother aims this enterprise laser at mid to large workgroups, pairing fast black printing with large paper trays and enterprise security. An NFC badge reader controls release, and Gigabit Ethernet or dual band Wi-Fi share it on a network.
High speed, big trays and long life toner keep a busy office printing with few interruptions. It does not scan or copy, so a separate device is needed for that.
Who it's for
Shared offices, schools and departments with heavy print loads get speed, capacity and security. Home offices and anyone wanting an all-in-one should choose a smaller multifunction model.
Pros and cons
- Very fast print speed
- Large, expandable paper capacity
- High yield toner options
- NFC badge authentication
- Print only, no scan or copy
- Heavy and bulky
Performance notes
Laser printing fuses toner with heat, so pages come out dry and fast, and large trays cut refill stops. High yield cartridges lower toner changes, while the drum is a separate part that wears over time.
