Overview
TenPoint builds the Venom X around its ACUslide cocking system and pitches it as the lightest ACUslide bow the company has made. It arrives with a lighted scope on polymer struts, a quiver and carbon arrows.
Lower carry weight paired with slide cocking is the reason to choose it, since the ACUslide crank handles the heavy limbs with little effort. Scope, arrows and quiver come in the box. The listing leaves out overall length, axle width and warranty, so dimensions must be confirmed elsewhere.
Who it's for
Long walks to a stand and repeated cocking in cold weather are where the slide system and lighter frame help. Those who need every dimension confirmed before buying will find this listing thin.
Pros and cons
- ACUslide makes cocking easier
- Lighted scope included
- Polymer struts for the optic
- Carbon arrows and quiver in box
- Overall length and width not listed
- Only a few arrows included
- No warranty details given
- Heavy pull needs the cocking aid
Performance notes
The ACUslide crank pulls the string back evenly, which helps arrows leave from the same spot on every shot. The lit reticle on the Pro-View scope helps aiming at dawn and dusk. Accuracy at distance comes down to zeroing the scope with the supplied Pro Elite arrows.
