Overview
A laser engine with a separate drum and toner fuses black text quickly onto the page, with automatic two-sided printing. Brother fits it into a small body with wireless, Ethernet and USB connections.
Fast, crisp text and efficient laser output suit students and home offices printing documents. It prints only black, and the included starter toner is small.
Who it's for
Students, remote workers and small offices with document printing suit it. Photo or color work needs an inkjet or color laser.
Pros and cons
- Fast black text printing
- Wireless and mobile printing
- Separate drum and toner
- Small starter toner
Performance notes
Separate toner and drum units mean you replace only the part that wears out. Laser output is dry as it exits and resists smudges. The first page comes out in seconds, and duplexing flips sheets internally.
