Overview
Nikon packs bright, coated optics into a pocket-size COOLSHOT rangefinder that buzzes when it locks onto the flag. Slope mode adjusts distances for uphill and downhill shots, and turns off for tournament play.
Golfers get quick, confident flag readings and slope help in one compact unit. Players wanting a rechargeable unit will need to keep spare lithium batteries in the bag.
Who it's for
Hilly courses and golfers learning their yardages suit this rangefinder. Players who dislike buying batteries should look for rechargeable models.
Pros and cons
- Vibration confirms the flag
- Slope mode for hilly courses
- Light and compact
- CR2 battery included
- Disposable CR2 battery
- Weight figures differ in listing
Performance notes
First Target Priority locks onto the closest object, which helps lock the flag in front of trees. Slope readings come from the built-in incline measurement, and the coated optics decide clarity in dim light.
