Overview
A pocket laser rangefinder built for the course, reading distance out to 1800 yards with +/-1 yard accuracy and a dedicated slope mode for club selection on hilly holes. The magnetic strip clips it to a cart bar or club shaft between shots, and it doubles as a basic hunting or archery ranger.
Rocketek pairs the usual flag lock and vibration confirmation with a rotating eyepiece so glasses wearers can dial in focus rather than squint at a soft image. The one buyer review on file flags a light magnet, so treat cart mounting as a convenience rather than something to rely on over rough terrain.
- 3-1800 yard range, +/-1 yard accuracy
- Golf slope compensation mode
- 6x magnification, rotating eyepiece focus
- Magnetic strip mount, water resistant body
Who it's for
Suits golfers and hunters who want one compact unit for slope-adjusted club selection and general distance ranging outdoors. It fits buyers who want a straightforward yardage tool rather than a feature-heavy GPS watch alternative.
Pros and cons
- Reads out to 1800 yards with slope compensation
- 6x rotating eyepiece works without glasses
- Magnetic strip for quick cart or club storage
- Flag lock vibration confirms it found the pin
- Magnet grip reported as weak by an early buyer
Performance notes
The stated 3 to 1800 yard range with plus or minus 1 yard accuracy comes from a 6x scope and a transflective LCD that stays readable in bright sun without a backlight. Flag lock with vibration confirms when the beam has found the pin rather than the background, and slope mode adds the elevation-adjusted distance golfers use for club selection.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Rocketek ST-GR01-1800 work for hunting, not just golf?
Yes, the maker lists it for golf, hunting and archery use alongside continuous scan and flag lock modes.
How accurate is the Rocketek golf rangefinder?
It is rated for plus or minus 1 yard accuracy across its 3 to 1800 yard range.
Does the magnetic strip hold securely to a golf cart?
One buyer's review notes the magnet is weak, so treat it as a convenience mount rather than a secure attachment on rough terrain.
