Overview
A pour-over coffee dripper from Hario with a flower-shaped resin body that removes the walled sides of the classic V60 for an open flow design. The plastic petals are removable and sold separately in other colors, and the dripper uses standard V60 paper filters.
Hario markets the Suiren as an evolution of its V60 rather than a replacement, keeping the same spiral ribs and filter compatibility while opening up the sides.
- Flower-shaped open design removes the V60's solid walls
- Compatible with standard Hario V60 filters
- Removable petals available in other colors
- Disassembles for compact travel storage
Who it's for
Pour-over coffee drinkers already familiar with the Hario V60 system who want a design that packs down for travel, or anyone who wants a dripper that also serves as a display piece on the counter.
Pros and cons
- Works with standard Hario V60 paper filters
- Disassembles into a flatter shape for travel or backpacking
- Resin build has survived drops for at least one reviewer
- Replacement colored petals sold separately for customizing
- Petals and resin parts add assembly steps a one-piece dripper does not have
Performance notes
The resin construction has held up to drops for at least one reviewer, and the petals detach so the whole dripper packs flatter than a one-piece design.
