Overview
The APEXUP-361 is a black adjustable weight vest with an ironsand fill in a neoprene shell, adjustable across a 4 to 10 pound range and marketed for running, riding, general exercise and strength training.
Neoprene construction differs from the polyester shell on the Sportneer vest above, generally sitting closer to the body and adding a bit more stretch, which suits faster movement like running or cycling. The lighter 4 to 10 pound range positions this vest for cardio focused training rather than heavy strength loading.
- Model: APEXUP-361
- Weight range: 4-10 lbs
- Shell: neoprene, black
- Use: running, riding, strength training
Who it's for
Runners and cyclists who want light added resistance without a bulky vest are the natural fit. Lifters chasing heavier loaded carries or weighted strength work will outgrow the 10 pound ceiling quickly.
Pros and cons
- Snug neoprene shell suits running and cycling
- Adjustable 4 to 10 pound range
- High recent purchase volume with strong rating
- Lower maximum load than heavier strength vests
- Neoprene can trap more heat than mesh designs
Performance notes
The neoprene shell hugs the body more closely than a rigid vest, which reduces bounce during running or cycling, while the ironsand fill distributes the 4 to 10 pounds of resistance evenly across the front and back panels.
