Overview
Not a fan-and-filter purifier, this small white unit releases charged plasma ions into the air and has no filter to replace. The seller says the ions cling to dust and pet dander and break down odor molecules.
Small size, no filters to buy and USB power make it easy to move between a bedroom, a car or a desk. The performance claims in the listing are the seller's own, and the stated floor area is modest.
Who it's for
Pet owners, smokers and travelers wanting a small unit that plugs in anywhere will see the use. People with large rooms or allergy needs who rely on filtered air should look at a filtered purifier.
Pros and cons
- No filters to replace
- Plugs into outlet or USB
- High and Low output dial
- Coverage is a small room
- Claims come from the seller
- Weight listed two ways
- No filtration of particles
Performance notes
The unit emits charged ions that attach to airborne particles and make them heavier, so they settle out of the air. That is different from capturing particles in a filter. Settled dust still needs wiping up, and a larger room than the stated floor area will dilute the effect.
