Overview
Fishbites Bait-Shad is a scented, shad-shaped bait strip made for catfish anglers who want an alternative to live or cut bait. It comes in white and ships as a single piece, sized to thread onto a hook and cast without the mess of natural bait.
Fishbites uses a bite-size scent strip format rather than fresh bait, so it stores at room temperature and does not need refrigeration or a bait bucket. The listing gives target species catfish and a single-piece quantity but no strip length, so check the seller page before ordering.
- White shad-shaped scent strip
- Target species: catfish
- Ships as 1 piece
- Room-temperature storage
Who it's for
Suited to catfish anglers who prefer a durable, mess-free bait they can keep in a tackle box between trips. Less useful for anglers targeting other species since the formula is aimed specifically at catfish.
Pros and cons
- No refrigeration or bait bucket needed
- Simple to thread onto a hook
- Formulated specifically for catfish
- Ships as a single piece per the listing
- No scent duration or shelf-life details given
Performance notes
Fishbites strips work by releasing scent into the water to draw catfish toward the hook, functioning as an attractant rather than a natural bait imitation. Actual pull depends on water conditions and catfish activity, factors the listing itself cannot control.
