Overview
An electronic knob lock in aluminum, meant to pair with a deadbolt already installed on the door rather than replace it. Unlocks by app, code, fob, fingerprint, or key, with Bluetooth-based programming.
The listing title says it plainly: this works with an existing deadbolt, so it is an auxiliary keyless knob, not a standalone security lock despite sitting in a deadbolt category. It stores up to 50 combined codes, fingerprints, and key fobs over Bluetooth, and remote anywhere access needs a separately sold WiFi gateway.
- Bluetooth-based local programming
- Passage mode for keeping the door unlocked
- Corrosion-resistant aluminum housing
- Fits most American standard doors
Who it's for
Households that already have a deadbolt installed and want a keyless knob alongside it for everyday entry. Not a fit for anyone shopping for a standalone deadbolt replacement.
Pros and cons
- Pairs with an existing deadbolt rather than replacing it
- Stores up to 50 codes, fingerprints, and key fobs
- Simple screwdriver installation
- Remote app control needs a separately sold WiFi gateway
- Aluminum housing carries no stated security grade
Performance notes
Programming and local unlocking happen over Bluetooth between the knob and the app; anywhere-access remote control requires the separately sold WiFi gateway. The aluminum housing is built for corrosion resistance, and a passage mode lets the knob stay unlocked when constant access is wanted, such as for a storefront.
