Overview
The Aquasure Harmony AS-HS50SCZ is a whole-house softener rated for 50,000 grains, sized by Aquasure for a 3 to 4 bathroom household of up to five people, and it ships with a triple-stage sediment, GAC, and zinc pre-filter ahead of the resin tank.
- 50,000 grain capacity sized for 3-4 bathrooms
- Digital metered control valve with backlit display
- Sediment/GAC/zinc triple-purpose pre-filter
- 5-year extended warranty with online registration
Who it's for
Homeowners with 3 to 4 bathrooms and genuinely hard water, including installers who buy in volume, fit the sizing here. A smaller household or mildly hard water may not need a 50,000 grain unit.
Pros and cons
- Programmable digital control head backwashes based on real usage
- Triple-stage pre-filter also cuts chlorine and sediment
- One installer reports zero issues across 20-plus units
- One reviewer found the softening effect underwhelming
- Resin needs a cleaner like iron-out twice yearly
Performance notes
Incoming water passes through the sediment, GAC, and zinc pre-filter before hitting the resin bed, where the digital metered valve tracks actual usage and triggers backwash only when needed rather than on a blind timer.
