More from this brandAll Vector Optics rifle scopesOverview
The Vector Optics Paragon 4x24 is a compact prism sight built for AR15-pattern rifles, combining a fixed 4x magnification reticle with a top rail for mounting a red dot sight. It suits shooters who want CQB to mid-range capability in one optic without swapping sights.
Owners frequently compare this to pricier prism sights from Vortex and describe it as hitting a better balance of magnification, eye box, and field of view for the cost. It ships with a riser to match AR platform sight lines and uses a common CR2032 battery, though the battery itself is not included. Fit and finish drew at least one complaint about a loose battery cover emblem out of the box, worth checking on arrival.
- 4x24 fixed prism magnification
- 10-level illuminated 1MOA BDC reticle for .223/5.56
- Top rail for RMSc footprint red dot
- IP67 water resistant, 250g without mount
Who it's for
Good for AR15 owners who want a budget prism sight for CQB and mid-range shooting and are comfortable adding their own red dot on the top rail. Less suited to anyone needing precise tracking past a couple hundred yards.
Pros and cons
- Strong value versus pricier prism sights per owners
- Holds zero under repeated 5.56 recoil
- Top rail fits RMSc footprint red dots
- Usable reticle even without battery power
- Battery not included despite requiring a CR2032
- One owner found tracking inconsistent past 100 yards
- Fit and finish issue reported on the battery cover emblem

Frequently asked questions
Does the Vector Optics Paragon 4x24 include a battery?
No, it takes a CR2032 battery, which is not included in the package.
Can I mount a red dot on top of this prism sight?
Yes, it has a top rail with an RMSc footprint. At least one owner reports adapting it to fit Holosun K footprint optics by removing the rear mounting lugs.
Is this sight accurate at longer ranges?
Owners report consistent hits at 300 yards once zeroed, though one reviewer described tracking as inconsistent beyond 100 yards and found the mount underbuilt for that use.
