Overview
A 3/4 HP continuous feed garbage disposal built for septic systems, with EZ Connect hardwire installation, Quiet SoundSeal technology, and an included BOOST accessory that dispenses a Septic Guard liquid formula through the dishwasher inlet.
The Septic Guard liquid is a citrus-scented formula meant to help break down food waste buildup in septic tanks and pipes, dispensed via the BOOST accessory that attaches at the dishwasher inlet plug. InSinkErator backs the disposal itself with a 9-year limited warranty, while the BOOST accessory carries a separate 1-year limited warranty.
- 3/4 HP motor with Quiet SoundSeal technology
- EZ Connect hardwire adapter for DIY installation
- BOOST accessory dispenses Septic Guard liquid through the dishwasher inlet
- 9-year limited disposal warranty, 1-year on the BOOST accessory
Who it's for
Aimed at homeowners on a septic system who want a DIY-installable disposal with added digestion support for solids, plus anyone replacing an older, louder InSinkErator unit. Less relevant for buyers on municipal sewer with no septic concerns, since the Septic Guard feature is the point of this specific model.
Pros and cons
- EZ Connect and Lift and Latch mounting simplify DIY installation
- Septic Guard liquid formula adds digestion support with no reported odor issues from the disposal itself
- 9-year limited warranty on the disposal unit
- Retaining ring reported prone to bending rather than springing back during install
- EZ Connect electrical plug needs solid copper wire, not stranded, without soldering
- One buyer wasn't convinced the Septic Guard liquid scent lives up to its claims
