Overview
On a hazy morning or a course with thick rough, the TaylorMade SpeedSoft in Hi-Vis Yellow is easy to track and find. Soft Feel Technology and a responsive cover aim for touch around the green, while the dimple pattern targets stable flight.
Visibility and soft feel are what this ball offers in one package. The two piece build listed in the specs suggests a simpler design than a multi layer tour ball, and the listing gives no compression number.
Who it's for
Casual players and juniors who want touch and a ball they can spot will enjoy it. Golfers fitting a ball to their swing speed will miss the compression figure.
Pros and cons
- Bright yellow aids tracking
- Soft feel on short shots
- Responsive cover for approach spin
- Dimples aimed at stable flight
- Only one sleeve in the pack
- Compression not listed
- Simpler build than tour balls
Performance notes
Feel comes from the soft core and responsive cover compressing on contact. The dimple pattern governs drag and lift, which shapes how the ball holds a line in wind. A two piece build puts most of the work on the core, so spin on full shots stays moderate.
