Overview
An office manager equipping a busy workgroup gets a Brother color laser that prints, scans and copies at high speed over a gigabit network. A touchscreen runs the menus, and Cloud Secure Print holds sensitive jobs until released.
High speed with two-sided printing and scanning moves a shared office along. It is a large, heavy machine that needs a permanent spot and a wired network.
Who it's for
Teams sharing one device on a wired network get speed and secure printing. Home users will find it too large and heavy for a desk.
Pros and cons
- Fast color output
- Two-sided printing and scanning
- Front and rear USB host ports
- NFC module for badge release
- Very heavy to place
- No Wi-Fi listed
- A4 media per specs
Performance notes
Throughput drops when printing both sides because each sheet passes through twice, which is why the two-sided speed is lower. A gigabit network link moves large color jobs to the printer quickly.
