Overview
DeMarini builds the Zen with a Dark Matter composite barrel and a stiff composite handle joined by its Anomaly Connection. The gradual barrel taper spreads the sweet spot, and the light swing weight helps young hitters get around.
A light swing weight and big barrel help youth players square up more pitches with less hand sting. Composite bats usually need care, and the listing gives no break-in or temperature guidance.
Who it's for
Made for youth hitters who want more contact and less vibration. Players whose league needs a different stamp should check certification.
Pros and cons
- Light swing weight
- Large barrel for contact
- Two-piece reduces sting
- Built in the USA
- Break-in guidance not listed
- USA Baseball only
Performance notes
The two-piece design separates the barrel and handle, which dampens vibration on mishits. The gradual barrel taper widens the zone that delivers full pop.
