Overview
Power hitters in high school and college get a big alloy barrel joined to DeMarini's stiffest composite handle through a redesigned direct connection. The thick handle favors energy transfer, and a strong end cap supports the barrel.
A large barrel and stiff handle send more swing energy into the ball, which suits hitters who already generate speed. That stiffness passes more feedback to the hands, and the listing leaves out barrel diameter.
Who it's for
High school and college sluggers who want a hybrid that feels stiff and drives the ball. Players who prefer whip and dampened feel should look at softer handles.
Pros and cons
- Huge alloy barrel profile
- Stiff composite handle
- Direct connection adds durability
- Several replacements under warranty
- Barrel diameter not listed
- Stiff feel transmits vibration
- Handle number listed two ways
Performance notes
A thick, stiff handle loses less energy to flex, so more of a fast swing reaches the barrel. The direct connection holds handle and barrel tight, giving a firm response while the barrel profile spreads the sweet spot.
