Overview
Majestic builds this Mercury as a slim built-in gas fireplace with six ceramic fiber logs and a firescreen in place of glass. Direct vent technology draws air from outside and sends exhaust out, and IntelliFire ignition lights it.
The reason to consider it is the compact width and slim profile, which make a fireplace possible in a small room or tight space. The limitation is that this is a gas appliance with limited listed detail, so plan on professional installation and review the venting needs.
Who it's for
Homeowners adding or replacing a hearth in a small room who have a natural gas line and a way to vent outdoors. Renters, anyone without gas, or those who want something to plug in should look at an electric fireplace.
Pros and cons
- Compact width for small rooms
- Direct vent removes exhaust
- Fire screen front, no glass glare
- Realistic ceramic fiber logs
- Natural gas power source only listed
- Professional installation likely needed
- Care steps not listed
Performance notes
Direct vent technology draws combustion air from outside and sends exhaust out, so the room air is not used and fumes stay out of the home. Heat output comes from the burner and rises through the room, and the fire screen front removes glass glare and protects from contact.
