Overview
A 12-pack of low compression golf balls from Amazon Basics, built with a soft feel core and a side stamp for lining up putts. The white cover is USGA conforming, so the balls are legal for handicap and tournament play at any skill level.
Low compression cores are aimed at moderate swing speeds, where a softer ball deforms more at impact and helps close the gap on distance. The side stamp doubles as an alignment aid for putting, a feature usually reserved for pricier lines. At this price point the appeal is straightforward: a full dozen balls without a premium tour-ball markup.
- Low compression core
- Side stamp alignment aid
- Durable white cover
- USGA conforming, 12-pack
Who it's for
Fits golfers with slower to moderate swing speeds who want extra distance without paying tour-ball prices, plus anyone who wants a putting alignment aid built into the ball. Less suited to low-handicap players who rely on a firmer ball for tour-level spin control.
Pros and cons
- 12 balls per pack at a budget price
- Soft compression suits slower swing speeds
- Side stamp helps line up putts
- USGA conforming for rated play
- Low compression trades away spin control for better players
- No stated compression rating or dimple count
Performance notes
Low compression means the ball deforms more at impact, which helps translate clubhead speed into distance for players who do not swing hard. The tradeoff is less spin and workability around the green compared to a firmer, multi-layer tour ball. USGA conforming construction means the balls are legal for rated rounds and tournament play.
