Overview
Switching between a sharp ultra HD mode for single player games and a fast full HD mode for shooters is the trick here. A Rapid VA panel with AMD FreeSync smooths motion in either mode.
Dual mode gives both detail and speed in one screen, so you do not have to choose between them when buying. The fastest refresh only runs at full HD, and the included components line mentions a curved panel the title does not.
Who it's for
Players who switch between story games in high detail and competitive matches at high frame rates. Office users have no need for the gaming refresh rates.
Pros and cons
- Dual resolution and refresh modes
- Very fast response
- Height adjustable stand
- Top refresh only at full HD
- Curved or flat unclear in listing
- Heavy for a monitor arm
Performance notes
In dual mode the panel trades resolution for refresh rate, so fast games run at full HD to reach the top frame rate. AI Vision brightens dark areas, and AMD FreeSync syncs refresh to the graphics card.
