Overview
Upward facing LED sources on the Govee torchiere bounce colored light off the ceiling, turning the lamp into a room-wide wash instead of a spot. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Matter connect it to the Govee app and voice assistants, with a push button on the lamp for basic control.
Platform coverage is broad, with Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit all listed, so it suits households that mix devices. Bouncing light off the ceiling softens shadows across a room. Full standing height is not stated in the specs, so confirm it before ordering.
Who it's for
Households that mix Alexa, Google and Apple devices get one lamp all three can reach. Anyone needing focused task light, or a lamp for a damp room, should pass.
Pros and cons
- Works with Alexa, Google and HomeKit
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth plus Matter
- Uplight softens shadows across the room
- Color changing with adjustable white
- Standing height not listed in specs
- Uplight only, no task beam
- Indoor only, not water resistant
- Needs an external adapter
Performance notes
Room coverage depends on ceiling color and height, since the light reaches the room by bouncing off the surface above. Darker or very high ceilings return less light. Control response depends on the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth link, with Matter handling cross-platform commands.

Frequently asked questions
How tall is the Govee H60B1 torchiere floor lamp?
The specs list dimensions of 17.13 x 12 x 7.2 inches, which do not describe the full standing height, so the lamp height is not confirmed in the specs.
Can the Govee H60B1 be used as a reading lamp?
Reading is a listed use, but it is an uplight, so it lights the ceiling rather than the page. A chair side task light gives a more direct beam.
What is in the box with the Govee H60B1?
The listing names an adapter, the floor lamp, a service card and a user manual.
