Overview
Not a two-piece composite with a flexing handle, the DeMarini Voodoo is a one-piece alloy BBCOR bat with the stiffest feel in the DeMarini range. A composite end cap trims swing weight, and a removable taper rests under the grip.
Stiffness is the reason to buy it: power hitters who want no flex through the zone get a direct transfer from hands to barrel. That same build sends more vibration to the hands when contact misses the barrel.
Who it's for
High school and college players in BBCOR leagues who like a firm, responsive swing are the audience. Younger players in non BBCOR leagues need a different certification.
Pros and cons
- Stiffest feel in the DeMarini lineup
- Composite end cap lightens the swing
- Removable handle taper for hand comfort
- Reinforced knob for leverage
- One-piece alloy sends more sting
- Only BBCOR and USA certifications listed
- Grip details not listed
Performance notes
A one-piece alloy frame does not flex, so energy from the hands goes straight to the barrel and mishits are felt in the hands. The composite end cap moves weight away from the tip to raise swing speed. The handle taper changes where the bottom hand rests.
