Overview
A 9-piece aluminum crochet hook set from Flickzo, sized 2mm to 6mm, with color-coded silicone handles and a set of extra crochet accessories bundled in for beginners.
Handles are ergonomic and non-slip, aimed at reducing hand fatigue over long crochet sessions, and each size is marked on both the handle and the hook itself rather than just one or the other. Beyond the hooks, the set adds yarn needles, blunt metal needles, stitch markers and safety pins, covering most of what a beginner needs to start beyond the hooks alone.
- 9 aluminum hooks, 2mm to 6mm
- Color-coded, silicone ergonomic handles
- Includes yarn needles, stitch markers and safety pins
- Sizes engraved on handle and hook
Who it's for
Good for beginners assembling a first crochet kit, or anyone with hand strain who wants a softer grip than bare metal or plastic hooks. Less relevant for crocheters who already own a full hook set and just want a single replacement size.
Pros and cons
- Silicone handles reduce hand fatigue on long sessions
- Sizes marked on both the handle and the hook
- Bundle includes yarn needles, stitch markers and safety pins
- Color-coded hooks make sorting by size quick
- Aluminum hooks are less premium than wood or ergonomic resin options
- Size range tops out at 6mm, so larger hook sizes are not included
Performance notes
The soft silicone handles are the main functional feature here, distributing grip pressure to ease strain during long sessions, which matters most for anyone with arthritis or general hand fatigue. Aluminum hook heads glide through yarn smoothly and clean with a simple wipe down.
