Overview

The Neakasa M1 Plus is an automatic self-cleaning litter box with an open-top design, 360-degree motion sensing, and smart app tracking. This bundle includes two extra rolls of refill bags and a 2-year protection plan, built for multi-cat households.

Rather than a covered dome, Neakasa built the M1 Plus with an open top, so cats used to a traditional box have an easier transition. Safety sensors are meant to pause the rake if a cat re-enters mid-cycle. This bundle version adds two extra rolls of waste bags plus a 2-year protection plan on top of the base unit.

Automatic self-cleaning with 360-degree motion sensing
Open-top design, gray plastic construction
Smart app tracking for multi-cat households
2-year protection plan included in bundle

Who it's for

Owners with more than one cat looking to cut down on manual scooping, and anyone who wants app notifications for tracking litter box use. Owners who prefer a fully enclosed, odor-sealed unit may want a covered model instead since this one is open-top.

Pros and cons

Pros

Open-top design eases the switch from a traditional box
Motion sensors pause the cycle if a cat re-enters
Bundle includes two extra rolls of refill bags
2-year protection plan extends standard coverage

Cons

Open top contains odor less than a covered unit
Tall and heavy, needs a dedicated floor spot

Performance notes

The self-cleaning cycle relies on 360-degree motion sensing to detect when a cat has left the box before the rake engages, the main safety mechanism in automatic litter boxes of this type. Smart app tracking lets owners check usage remotely, useful for spotting changes in bathroom habits across a multi-cat household.
