Overview
Printing, scanning, copying and faxing from one desk unit, this Canon color laser handles two-sided pages automatically and scans both sides of a document in a single pass. A color touchscreen and phone apps run the jobs.
One-pass duplex scanning and a fax line make it a full office hub for small teams and hybrid workers. It is heavy and bulky, and the starter toners in the box have lower yields than standard cartridges.
Who it's for
Small and home offices handling contracts, scans and color handouts every day. Occasional home printers will find it more machine than they need.
Pros and cons
- One-pass two-sided scanning
- Automatic duplex printing
- Expandable paper capacity
- Fax built in
- Heavy at the listed weight
- Starter color toners have low yields
- Extra cassette sold separately
Performance notes
Throughput depends on the laser engine's page rate and the automatic duplexer, while the single-pass ADF scans both sides at once instead of flipping pages. Paper handling grows with the optional cassette for longer runs.
