Overview
A campsite, a farm yard or a storm-season emergency kit is where this pair of Baofeng handhelds earns a place. Each radio tunes VHF and UHF bands, charges over USB-C and can copy a frequency from another radio, with a weather alert function built in.
Two radios with earpieces, clips and two antenna lengths make a ready pair for coordinating a group. USB-C charging works from common cables, and two come in the box. Detail is thin elsewhere: transmit power is missing and water protection is absent.
Who it's for
Families and small crews spreading out over a campsite, ranch or job site get a matched set with spare antennas. People working in rain or on the water, or who want support if a unit fails, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Two radios with earpieces and clips
- Large channel memory
- VHF and UHF coverage
- USB-C charging, cables included
- Not water resistant
- No warranty offered
- Battery count unclear for two radios
- Transmit power not listed
Performance notes
Real range depends on terrain, antenna length and line of sight far more than the rated maximum, so the longer antennas matter in open country. Dual-band coverage lets the pair switch bands to suit open ground or built-up areas.
