Overview
BasicGear's 17 inch net is built as a small landing and baitwell net in white, sized for handling smaller catches or transferring live bait rather than landing large fish.
The dual naming, landing net and baitwell net, along with the small size tag, points to a compact net meant for scooping bait or small fish rather than heavy landing duty. Handle length and mesh material are not given in the listing.
- 17 inch net
- Small size classification
- White color
- Marketed for landing and baitwell use
Who it's for
Anglers who need a small net for moving bait in and out of a livewell or landing modest sized fish. Not sized for landing large or actively fighting fish given its small designation.
Pros and cons
- Compact 17 inch size for bait or small fish handling
- Dual use as landing net or baitwell net
- White mesh for visibility
- Not sized for large fish
- Handle length and frame material are not listed
Performance notes
At 17 inches and tagged small, this net is scaled for scooping bait or lifting smaller fish rather than handling weight or thrash from larger catches. Frame material and handle length are not specified, so durability under repeated use is not something the listing confirms.
