Overview
A desk, a car trip or a teen's bedroom nostalgic for the eighties suits this cassette styled player whose screen spins like a tape reel. The Phinistec player holds a big library, plays lossless files and has its own speaker and FM radio.
A phone free player with a speaker, radio and lossless support offers focused listening with retro charm. It cannot pair with phones, and the battery life figure differs between bullets and specs.
Who it's for
Gym goers, students and retro fans with their own music files get a self contained player. Spotify or streaming users will find no app support here.
Pros and cons
- Retro cassette interface
- Lossless format support
- Built-in speaker and FM radio
- Touch and button controls
- Cannot connect to phones or tablets
- Battery life figures conflict
- No streaming apps
Performance notes
Lossless files keep full audio detail, so headphone quality decides what you hear. Bluetooth sends audio out to headphones or speakers, which uses more battery than wired listening.
