Overview
Winding the handle powers this Joie Ancho swing to sway baby front to back or side to side with no cord or batteries. Twisting the seat changes direction, and lifting it off turns it into a portable rocker.
No cord and no batteries means it can go in any room without hunting for an outlet. A wind lasts a limited time, so parents must return to rewind.
Who it's for
Newborns who settle with gentle motion suit it, and organic fabrics suit sensitive skin. Families who need sounds, vibration or long runtimes should look at an electric swing.
Pros and cons
- No batteries or outlet needed
- Two swing directions
- Seat lifts off as a rocker
- Organic fabrics, breathable mesh
- Needs rewinding every session
Performance notes
The wound spring releases energy into a steady swing, and speed is set by the selector rather than a motor. Motion fades as the spring runs out, which is the natural limit of any wind-up design.
