Overview
The VCJ VCJ-90CWY is a compact 2.8 cu ft, 1400W electric dryer with a 16 lb capacity, 6 drying modes, an 8 hour delay start, and a child lock, sized for apartments, dorms, and RVs without a vent hookup.
Rather than needing an exterior vent for lint like a standard dryer, at least one owner describes this unit venting condensation instead, letting them run it against a stove vent without cutting a hole in an RV wall; that's a reviewer's account of how it behaved rather than a spec claim. Results on drying speed vary sharply between owners, with some calling it fast and quiet and one calling it too slow to be useful.
- 16 lb capacity, 1400W, up to 140F
- 6 fabric-specific drying programs
- 8 hour delay start and child lock
- Compact 23 x 20 x 27 inch front-load design
Who it's for
Fits small living spaces such as apartments without washer-dryer hookups, dorm rooms, or RVs where a full-size vented dryer isn't an option. Not a fit for anyone needing to dry full-size loads quickly, since capacity and reviewer-reported drying times are limited.
Pros and cons
- Quiet enough for a bedroom or small apartment
- Compact size fits tight spaces without a vent hookup
- Built-in overheat sensor shuts it off safely
- Drying time reports vary widely between owners
- One reviewer found it too slow to be practical
- Lint trap on the back is awkward to access

Frequently asked questions
Does it need to be vented outside like a standard dryer?
According to one owner's experience it vents condensation rather than lint, letting them run it without cutting an exterior vent hole, though this is a reviewer account rather than a stated spec.
How long does drying take?
Reports vary; some owners say about an hour for a half load, while at least one reviewer reported over two hours for a single shirt.
