Overview
Not a plain edge lit LCD, the TCL Mini LED monitor splits its backlight into hundreds of zones that dim independently for deeper blacks and brighter highlights. Quantum dots widen color, and a KVM switch shares a keyboard and mouse between two computers.
Local dimming and high brightness give HDR games and films real punch on a big screen. Ergonomics and included cables are not described, which matters for desk setup.
Who it's for
Gamers and movie watchers at a desk get bright, contrasty images and quick motion. Office users who need ergonomic adjustments should confirm the stand first.
Pros and cons
- Local dimming for deeper blacks
- Bright HDR highlights
- Quick refresh and response
- Built-in KVM switch
- Stand adjustments not listed
- Box contents not listed
- Only one HDMI port
Performance notes
Hundreds of dimming zones let dark areas switch down while bright areas stay lit, improving contrast. Some halo can appear around bright objects on black, which the halo control system aims to reduce.
