Overview
Cooling a bedroom, office or covered porch is the job of the Hunter ZenTech, a slim DC motor fan with a dimmable color-changing LED. It runs from an app, voice assistants or the included remote, and swaps between light, no-light and two trim looks.
Quiet DC efficiency, smart home control and tunable light make one fan serve many rooms. The title and spec sheet disagree on size, and the downrod range cannot be extended past its factory wiring.
Who it's for
Smart home users with standard ceilings or covered patios get voice and app control with adjustable light. Owners of very high or vaulted ceilings may run past the downrod limit.
Pros and cons
- Works with Alexa, Google and HomeKit
- Dimmable, color tunable LED
- Damp rated for covered outdoors
- Low wattage DC motor
- Size differs between title and specs
- Downrod wiring cannot be extended
- Warranty terms differ in listing
Performance notes
Airflow comes from the DC motor and blade pitch, and the reversible motor pushes air down in summer and up in winter. DC motors run quietly and use little power at each speed. The damp listing covers humidity under a roof, not direct rain.
