Overview
Agri-Fab designed this spreader to ride on the back of a mower, with a poly hopper and spreader plate that resist corrosion and a sealed motor that drives the spread. A cable runs back to the seat so the gate opens and closes without stopping.
Reason to buy: it covers a lot of ground per fill and spreads evenly at mowing speed, and the controls stay within reach. Limitation: it is made for that mower type only, and wiring or hitch details are not given.
Who it's for
Owners of larger properties who already mow with one can seed or feed in the same pass, using the big hopper and the cable control. Anyone with a push mower or a small yard should consider a hand or push spreader.
Pros and cons
- Large hopper capacity
- Rustproof poly hopper and plate
- Flow control from the mower seat
- Wide spread width
- Zero-turn mowers only
- Power connection not described
- Heavy when the hopper is full
- Mounting hardware not listed
Performance notes
A motor-driven plate throws material in a wide pattern at a steady rate, so the pattern stays consistent when mowing speed rises. The hopper size sets how much lawn is covered per fill, and the cable gate lets you start and stop without leaving the seat.
