Overview
Not a soft, low compression ball for moderate swings, the Bridgestone Tour B XS is a firm, multi layer urethane ball for players swinging very fast. Its cover grips the clubface longer for spin and stopping power around the green.
Extra spin on approach shots with distance off the tee suits skilled, fast swinging players. Average swing speeds will get more from a softer model.
Who it's for
Low handicap players with high clubhead speed who value control on wedges will benefit most. Moderate swingers should look at softer options.
Pros and cons
- Urethane cover for spin
- Built for high speed swings
- Custom text personalization
- Distance oriented core
- Firm for slower swings
- Customization adds lead time
- Spin may hurt slicers
Performance notes
Distance comes from the core and mantle working together at high impact speeds, which is why compression is set for fast swings. Greenside control relies on the urethane cover gripping grooves longer for spin.
