Overview
Z Grills sells the VC-700D as a pellet smoker with 697 sq in of cooking area, built in alloy steel with a bronze finish. Its tall dimensions, 48 x 22 x 51 inches at 120 lb, point to a vertical cabinet layout with room for several racks.
That vertical build suits smoking larger cuts or multiple batches at once rather than working off a single wide grate, and the 120 lb weight means it is meant to stay in one spot once positioned.
- Pellet-fueled vertical cabinet smoker
- 697 sq in cooking area
- Alloy steel construction, bronze finish
- 48 x 22 x 51 in, 120 lb
Who it's for
Fits owners who smoke for groups or run several racks at a time. Not the choice for anyone short on patio space or cooking for one or two people.
Pros and cons
- 697 sq in of smoking space
- Pellet fuel for steadier heat than charcoal
- Vertical design fits more food in a smaller floor footprint
- 120 lb makes it a fixed-location unit
- 51 in height needs overhead clearance
Performance notes
Pellet fuel automates temperature control compared with charcoal, and the 697 sq in area spread across a vertical cabinet fits multiple racks rather than one wide grate. The 120 lb build reflects the steel needed to hold steady heat in a tall enclosure.
