Overview
With 459 sq in of grate space, the ZPG-450A is Z Grills' pellet-fueled option, built in black alloy steel with a wide, low-profile footprint rather than a tall vertical cabinet.
At 85 lb and 28 x 45 x 49 inches, it sits between compact portable smokers and the largest cabinet units, sized for regular backyard use and family-scale cookouts.
- Pellet-fueled grill and smoker
- 459 sq in cooking area
- Black alloy steel finish
- 28 x 45 x 49 in, 85 lb
Who it's for
Works for backyard cooks who want one grill that also handles low-and-slow smoking. Not sized for the largest gatherings compared with bigger cabinet smokers.
Pros and cons
- 459 sq in cooking area for family-size cooks
- Pellet fuel for consistent temperature
- Alloy steel build
- 85 lb is heavier than portable grills
- Smaller capacity than vertical cabinet smokers
Performance notes
The pellet feed system automates temperature, and 459 sq in of grate area covers a family-size cookout. The 85 lb weight and 28 x 45 x 49 in footprint make it heavier than portable grills but lighter than cabinet-style smokers built for bigger batches.
