Overview
A reformulated core that firms toward the edges drives this tour ball's speed, while a soft center gives feel on irons. A urethane cover with a grippy coating adds wedge spin.
High launch and ball speed for fast swingers, with tour spin, is what sets the Diamond apart from the standard Z-Star. Limited edition supply means restocking the same design may not be possible.
Who it's for
Low handicap and high speed players who want more height suit this ball. Average swing speeds should look at the Q-Star Tour.
Pros and cons
- High launch and ball speed
- Urethane cover with spin coating
- Strong wind performance
- Limited edition design
- Suits fast swings mainly
Performance notes
A core that grows firmer toward the edge stores more energy on fast swings, which lifts ball speed. The coating increases friction in grooves for stopping power. Dimples reduce drag and add lift for a higher, straighter flight.
