Overview
A 4 inch firm mini exercise ball for pilates, core, and hip and thigh work, sized smaller than the common 9 inch stability ball and inflated with an included hand pump and needle.
This ball sits at the smaller end of the stability-ball category, closer in size to a softball than the 9 inch balls most people picture, and the maker flags that size expectation directly in its own listing. Firmness is the other differentiator: it's built to hold shape under squeezing between the knees or lower back rather than compress like a squishier 9 inch ball.
- 4 inch diameter, sized for targeted work not full-body balance
- Self-sealing inflation valve like a basketball
- Includes hand pump with storable needle
- Firmer feel than a 9 inch pilates ball
Who it's for
Works for core, hip, and thigh isolation exercises, physical therapy routines, or supplementing a home Pilates practice. Not the right size for full-body stability work that calls for a larger balance ball.
Pros and cons
- Self-sealing valve holds air without a separate plug
- Firm enough to resist collapsing under pressure
- Compact enough for a gym bag or desk
- Smaller than the more common 9 inch ball size
- At least one buyer received a package missing the needle
