Overview
Not a rigid wire basket, this YELARXI piece is woven from twisted cotton rope with leather straps and two adjustable buckle clasps. It attaches to the handlebars of a bike, tricycle or scooter and can be moved between rides.
A handcrafted look, simple strap-on mounting and quick removal suit commuters and casual riders. The listing says not to overload it, and the spec material of polyester conflicts with the cotton rope in the description.
Who it's for
Commuters and leisure riders carrying keys, a phone or small items will use the strap-on design. People who need to carry heavy cargo or need a stated load limit should look for a sturdier basket.
Pros and cons
- Strap-on mounting with two buckles
- Easy to move between bikes
- Braided rope gives shock absorption
- Fits several ride types
- Load limit not listed
- Material stated as cotton and polyester
Performance notes
The two straps grip the handlebars, and the braided rope flexes to absorb some shock from the road. Security depends on tightening the buckles fully before every ride.
