For short hair, check that a section can wrap around the barrel while your fingers stay clear of the heated surface. Curly and Wavy labels cannot predict the finished result, which also depends on section size and wrapping technique. Handle shape matters when reaching the back of your head, so look for a grip that supports that movement without forcing your wrist into an awkward angle.

Before buying, confirm whether the wand requires fully dry hair and whether any extensions you intend to curl permit heated styling.
