Overview
The official on-field baseball used in Major League Baseball, sold here with a UV protected display case rather than as a bulk practice ball.
This is a display and collecting item as much as a baseball: full-grain leather cover, 108 red stitches to MLB spec, packaged in a crystal styrene case rated to block up to 98 percent of UV rays. That UV reduction is meant to slow the fading of autographs and leather over time, which matters if the ball is signed and kept rather than played with.
- Official MLB game ball specification
- Genuine leather cover, 108 red stitches
- Crystal styrene display case included
- Up to 98 percent UV reduction
Who it's for
Fits collectors, autograph seekers or fans who want a display piece rather than a ball to actually play catch with. Less suited to anyone looking for an affordable practice ball, since the value here is in authenticity and presentation.
Pros and cons
- Official MLB specification leather baseball
- Display case included
- UV protection helps preserve autographs and leather
- Priced and packaged for display, not everyday play
- Case adds bulk compared to a bare ball
Performance notes
The full-grain leather cover and 108-stitch pattern follow official MLB specification, and the included crystal styrene case is built to house the ball for display while its UV coating is rated to cut up to 98 percent of UV exposure, slowing fading on both the leather and any autograph on it.
