Overview
Wilson's Evolution game ball comes here in the intermediate size sized for younger players. A pebbled microfiber composite cover and wide channels give grip, while a cushion core softens the feel on catches.
A soft, tacky cover and approval for school play make it a real game ball rather than a practice toy. It wears fast on asphalt, so it belongs on gym floors. The listing gives two different weights.
Who it's for
Younger players and indoor gyms using the intermediate ball will appreciate the feel. Outdoor players should choose a rubber ball.
Pros and cons
- Soft composite cover
- Wide channels aid control
- Cushion core softens catches
- Indoor use only
- Listing gives two weights
Performance notes
The microfiber composite cover gives a tacky grip on hardwood, and the cushion core reduces sting on hard passes. On rough outdoor surfaces the cover abrades quickly, so indoor use preserves it.
