Overview
A glass lens with autofocus feeds a full HD widescreen sensor in this Microsoft webcam, so faces and documents held up to the camera both stay sharp. It connects by USB and adds a built in microphone.
Autofocus and a full HD sensor give clearer detail than fixed focus cameras when you lean in or hold something up. The listing gives no mounting, cable length or operating system details, so check those against your setup.
Who it's for
People who present on calls and often hold items up to the lens benefit from the autofocus. Those who need a confirmed fit with a specific monitor clip or operating system should check elsewhere first.
Pros and cons
- Autofocus for close objects
- Full HD widescreen video
- Glass lens optics
- Bright aperture for dim rooms
- Operating systems not listed
- Mounting method not described
- Digital zoom only
Performance notes
Autofocus refocuses as you move or hold objects near the lens, so text stays readable on screen. A backside illuminated sensor and a bright aperture let in more light, so dim rooms need less gain. TrueColor adjusts exposure automatically as lighting changes.
